SCRAP tries to bring you the best available options in paper choices.

While we would like to offer Australian papers only one company makes standard copy paper locally (Nippon Paper) which people know as Reflex, among other brands. We do offer the Reflex Recycled 100 but with the following caution - the company has not provided proper specifications for this paper and so the claims that it is 100% recycled (whether pre or post consumer content) cannot be verified.

One small Australian company trying to do the right thing is Ecocern and they make a range of 100% post consumer, recycled brown paper products including 105gsm A4, A3 and A2 paper, card, folders, envelopes and bags (see our other categories for more details). Included here are the paper options. We find the paper works in most modern machines but it is not guaranteed for printing.

Consequently we offer the best we can find from Europe. In the 100% post consumer recycled category is Steinbeis (ranking highest environmentally) followed by Evolve Everyday/Office and Business lines. Steinbeis also provide colour (10) A4 options while Evolve is available in A3 Office and 100gsm Business.

For those who find the cost of recycled prohibitive we do offer Canefields which is made from 80% bagasse (sugar cane waste). It has plantation timber added and unfortunately some chlorine bleaching of the timber fibre.
